Association of volunteer fire departments to obtain casualty insurance

Any state volunteer fire department may join with other volunteer fire departments in this
state in order to obtain casualty insurance coverage as defined in subdivision (e), section
ten, article one of this chapter and the state Insurance Commissioner and his staff may assist
any such volunteer fire departments in negotiating for, securing and adopting a policy or
policies of insurance written by a carrier or carriers chartered under the lawes of any state
and duly licensed to do business in this state.
