West Virginia Code § 30-8-14

Prescriptive authority

(a) A licensee may prescribe: (1) Topical pharmaceutical agents; (2) oral pharmaceutical
agents that are included in the drug formulary established by the board pursuant to section
six of this article or new drugs or new drug indications added by a decision of the board; and
(3) contact lenses that contain and deliver pharmaceutical agents that have been approved
by the Food and Drug Administration as a drug. e
(b) An applicant must:
(1) Submit a completed application; u
(2) Pay the appropriate fee;
(3) Show proof of current liability insurance coverage;a
(4) Complete the board required training;
(5) Pass an examination; and
(6) Complete any other criteria the board may establish by rule.
