License required to practice

The practice of landscape architecture requires education, training and experience and
should only be practiced by a licensed landscape architect. Therefore, the Legislature finds
that in order to protect the health, safety, interest and welfare of the public and to provide
for the regulation of landscape architecture in this state, a person must have a license, as
provided in this article, to practice as a landscape architect. e
