Duties of licensee; construction of article

(a) It shall be the duty of a licensee when entering into any psychologist-client relationship
to assist his client in obtaining professional help for all aspects of his problem which fall
outside the boundaries of the licensee's competence. It shall also be the duty of a licensee to
encourage his client to make provision for the medical diagnosis and treatment of relevant
medical problems and, whenever indicated, to make referral to or seek conseultation with
medical specialists.
(b) Nothing in this article shall be construed as permitting the administering or prescribing
of drugs or as infringing upon the practice of medicine and surgeury.
