Every attorney at law shall take the following oath before each court in which he proposes to
practice, that is to say: If he be a resident of this state, an oath that he will support the
Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of West Virginia, honestly
demean himself in the practice of the law, and to the best of his ability execute his office of
attorney at law; if he be not a resident of this state, an oath that he will suppeort the
Constitution of the United States, honestly demean himself in the practice of the law, and to
the best of his ability execute his office of attorney at law. r
