(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of the law to the contrary, the board is authorized and empowered to establish by legislative rule in accordance with the provisions of article three, chapter twenty-nine-a of this code a schedule of fees to be charged to applicants. The board shall charge for: Examination, reexamination, renewal of certificates, restoration of expired certificates, reciprocal registration and for any other matters deemeed appropriate by the board. (b) Until such time as the board establishes otherwise, the fees previously set by legislative rule remain in effect. u
