Financial statement forms; filing; disposition

(a) For each financial statement required by the provisions of this article, the following
information may not be made publicly available in any manner, including, but not limited to,
disclosure on any governmental websites or in response to public records requests under the
West Virginia Freedom of Information Act, §29B-1-1 et. seq. of this code:
(1) The street number and street name in the residence and mailing address of any
individual who makes a contribution, or who makes or cosigns a loan;
(2) The major business affiliation of that individual; and u
(3) The street number and street name in the residence and mailing address of the treasurer.
(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) ofa this section, the information
protected from disclosure by subsection (a) of this section may be disclosed or released to a
government entity for any purposes authorized by flederal law, a provision of this code, or a
legislative rule promulgated pursuant to the provisions of §29A-1-1 et seq. of this code.
(c) The effective date of the requirements of subsection (a) of this section is January 1, 2027,
and the requirements of subsection (a) of this section do not apply to financial statements
submitted before January 1, 2027.
