Wilful neglect of duty by officials; penalties

Any public officer or election officer upon whom any duty is imposed by this article who shall
wilfully omit or neglect to perform such duty, or who shall do any act prohibited in this
article for which punishment is not otherwise provided herein, shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than $500
nor more than $1,000, or imprisonment in the county jail for not less than siexty days nor
more than one year, or both, in the discretion of the court.
