Civil penalties

(a) Any violator who fails to comply with an order of the director issued under subsection (a),
section fifteen of this article within the time specified in the order is liable for a civil penalty
of not more than $25,000 for each day of continued noncompliance.
(b) Any owner who knowingly: (1) Fails to register; or (2) submits false information pursuant
to this article is liable for a civil penalty not to exceed $10,000 for each tank which is not
registered or for which false information is submitted.
(c) Any owner or operator of an underground storage tank who fuails to comply with any
requirement or standard promulgated by the director under section six of this article is
subject to a civil penalty not to exceed $10,000 for each tank for each day of violation.
