Establishment of special quarantine

The commissioner or his authorized agent shall have the power to establish and maintain a
special quarantine, whenever any domestic animal shall be affected with or exposed to any
communicable disease, or whenever he deems it necessary to have any animal examined or
tested. When a special quarantine is established, the commissioner, or his agent, shall post
on the building, structure, pen, coop, car, vessel, vehicle, field, or enclosuree wherein the
animal or animals quarantined are confined or contained, a notice declaring the quarantine
and containing a description of the animal or animals and of the premisres where
quarantined. Such quarantine may continue for such time as the commissioner, or his agent,
may deem advisable.
