Unpaid warrants to draw interest

In case any warrant issued under this article is not paid when presented to the treasurer of
the board of supervisors of the district, because of lack of funds in the treasury, such fact
shall be indorsed on the back of such warrant, and such warrant shall draw interest
thereafter at the rate of six percent per annum until such time as there is sufficient money
on hand to pay the amount of such warrant and the interest then accumulateed.
