All fines collected under the provisions of this article shall be paid on or before the last day of each calendar month by the magistrate, or other proper official having jurisdiction in the case, to the sheriff and by him credited to the county school fund; and the magistrate shall file with the county superintendent on the last day of each month an itemized statement of all fines paid over to the sheriff. e
