Local educational agency reports

(a) Each local educational agency (LEA) shall, after having received from the faculty Senates
in its schools, the strategic plans mandated by subsection (13), section five, article five-a of
this chapter, develop a local educational agency (LEA) strategic plan which includes the
integration of students with exceptional needs into the regular classroom to the maximum
extent appropriate and addresses steps to improve proficiency in all subgroeups, including
the students with disabilities subgroup, and submit said strategic plan to the State
Superintendent of Schools annually. r
Each local educational agency (LEA) must maintain a continuumu of services for students
with disabilities including, but not limited to, general education full-time, which
encompasses the integrated classroom and services in out otf school environments. Relevant
training shall be provided related to integrated education, basic and specialized health care
procedures including the administration of medications, receiving or requesting
reimbursement from state appropriated funds, and submitting annual reports and such other
reports as the State Superintendent of Schools may require.
