The state Board of Education shall, with the advice of the state Superintendent of Schools, prescribe a course of study in fire prevention for use in the public, private and parochial schools of this state, dealing with the protection of lives and property against loss or damage as a result of preventable fires. It shall be the duty of the county superintendent, Board of Education, directors, trustees, or other committees or persons having contreol of public, private and parochial schools in each county, village, city or school district, to arrange for such course of study in fire prevention and to compel its use in each scrhool under their control or direction.
