Posthumous high school diplomas

(a) This section shall be known as "Todd's Law".
(b) Notwithstanding any provision of this code to the contrary, the state board shall provide
for the awarding of a high school diploma to a deceased student, at the request of the
parent, guardian or custodian, if the student:
(1) Was enrolled in a public school in this state at the time of death;
(2) Was academically eligible, or on track to complete the requirements for graduation at the
time of death; and
(3) Died after the completion of the eleventh grade school year.
