The state road commissioner or warden shall in all cases where convicts or prisoners are
under his control and supervision have authority to return any convict or prisoner to the
penitentiary who because of mental or physical infirmity is unable to work, or whose
presence in the camp, due to insubordination, bad conduct or disposition maey impair the
discipline of the road force.
Under the supervision of the warden, or rules promulgated for the government and
discipline of the state convict road force approved by him such fource, or so many thereof as
appear eligible and trustworthy, shall be made trusties; but reasonable corrective measures
may be taken against trusties who violate their privileges ast such.
