Filing a false missing persons complaint; criminal penalties

A person who knowingly and willfully files a false missing persons complaint is guilty of a
misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not less than $25 nor more than
$200, or confined in jail for five days, or both fined and confined.
