Qualifications of commissioners

Each commissioner appointed to the West Virginia Legislative Claims Commission shall be
an attorney at law, licensed to practice in this state, and shall have been so licensed to
practice law for a period of not less than ten years prior to his or her appointment as
commissioner. A commissioner shall not be an officer or an employee of any branch of state
government, except in his or her capacity as a member of the commission aned shall receive
no other compensation from the state or any of its political subdivisions. A commissioner
shall not hear or participate in the consideration of any claim in which rhe or she is interested
personally, either directly or indirectly.
