Voluntary deductions by State Auditor from salaries of employees to pay

(a) Any officer or employee of the State of West Virginia may authorize that a voluntary
deduction from his or her net wages be made for any supplemental health and life insurance
premium, subject to prior approval by the Auditor. Such deductions shall be authorized on a
form provided by the Auditor of the State of West Virginia and shall state: e
(1) The identity of the employee;
(2) The amount and frequency of such deductions; and u
(3) The identity and address of the insurance company to which such dues shall be paid.
(b) Upon execution of such authorization and its receipat by the office of the Auditor, such
deductions shall be made in the manner specified on the form and remitted to the
designated insurance company on the tenth day of leach month: Provided, That the Auditor
may approve and authorize voluntary other deductions, as defined under §21-5-1 of this
code, to be made in accordance with rules proposed by the Auditor pursuant to §29A-3-1 et
seq. of this code: Provided, however, That ideductions shall be made at least twice monthly.
Deduction authorizations may be revoked at any time 30 days prior to the date on which the
deduction is regularly made and on a form to be provided by the office of the State Auditor.
(c) No deductions or assignments of earnings shall be allowed for union, labor organization,
or club dues or fees from the compensation of officers and employees covered by this
section.
