(1) A person is guilty of unlawful use of a scientific permit if the permit issued by the director is for big game or big game parts, and the person: (a) Violates any terms or conditions of the scientific permit; (b) Buys or sells big game or big game parts that were taken or acquired with a scientific permit; or (c) Violates any department rule applicable to the issuance or use of scientific permits. (2) Unlawful use of a scientific permit is a gross misdemeanor.
