Student records and information—Necessary for risk assessment, security classification, and proper placement—Rules

(1) The department shall establish by rule, in consultation with the office of the superintendent of public instruction, those student records and information necessary to conduct a risk assessment, make a security classification, and ensure proper placement. Those records shall include at least: (a) Any history of placement in special education programs; (b) Any past, current, or pending disciplinary action; (c) Any history of violent, aggressive, or disruptive behavior, or gang membership, or behavior listed in RCW 13.04.155; (d) Any use of weapons that is illegal or in violation of school policy; (e) Any history of truancy; (f) Any drug or alcohol abuse; (g) Any health conditions affecting the juvenile's placement needs; and (h) Any other relevant information. (2) For purposes of this section "gang" has the meaning defined in RCW 28A.225.225.
