Open in Lexace · Ask the AI about this section
(1) The legislature finds that behavioral health integration requires parity in the approach to regulation between primary care providers and behavioral health agencies. (2) Neither the authority nor the department may provide initial documentation requirements for patients receiving care in a behavioral health agency, either in contract or rule, which are substantially more administratively burdensome to complete than initial documentation requirements in primary care settings, unless such documentation is required by federal law or to receive federal funds.
