The department shall waive postgraduate educational requirements applicable to mental health professionals under this chapter for those persons who have a bachelor's degree and on June 11, 1986: (1) Are employed by an agency subject to licensure under this chapter, the community behavioral health services act, in a capacity involving the treatment of mental illness; and (2) Have at least ten years of full-time experience in the treatment of mental illness.
