Additional powers of department

The department also has the following powers: (1) The department may adopt any rules necessary or helpful for the department to implement and enforce this chapter. (2) The director may issue subpoenas for the production of persons, papers, or information in all proceedings and investigations within the scope of this chapter. If a person refuses to obey a subpoena, the director, through the attorney general, may ask the superior court to order the person to obey the subpoena. (3) The director may take the oral or written testimony of any person. The director has the power to administer oaths. (4) The director may make specific decisions, cease and desist orders, other orders, and rulings, including demands and findings.
