Information or records deemed private and confidential—Exceptions

Any information or records concerning an individual or employing unit obtained by the employment security department pursuant to the administration of this title shall be private and confidential, except as otherwise provided in this chapter. This chapter does not create a rule of evidence. Information or records may be released by the employment security department when the release is: (1) Required by the federal government in connection with, or as a condition of funding for, a program being administered by the employment security department; or (2) Requested by a county clerk for the purposes of RCW 9.94A.760. The provisions of RCW 50.13.060(1) (a), (b) and (c) will not apply to such release.
