Before accepting an application for a certificate of title as required in this title, the department, county auditor or other agent, or subagent appointed by the director shall require the applicant to pay a fifteen dollar application fee in addition to any other fees and taxes required by law. (1) Five dollars of the certificate of title application fee must be distributed under RCW 46.68.020. (2) Ten dollars of the certificate of title application fee must be credited to the transportation 2003 account (nickel account) created in RCW 46.68.280. [ 2012 c 74 s 1; 2010 c 161 s 508.]
