Washington Code § 26.26A.405

Standing to maintain proceeding to adjudicate parentage

Except as otherwise provided in RCW 26.26A.200 through 26.26A.265 and 26.26A.435 through 26.26A.450, a proceeding to adjudicate parentage may be maintained by: (1) The child; (2) The woman who gave birth to the child, unless a court has adjudicated that she is not a parent; (3) An individual who is a parent under this chapter; (4) An individual whose parentage of the child is to be adjudicated; (5) The division of child support; (6) An adoption agency authorized by law of this state other than this chapter or licensed child placement agency; or (7) A representative authorized by law of this state other than this chapter to act for an individual who otherwise would be entitled to maintain a proceeding but is deceased, incapacitated, or a minor.
