Subject to regulations of the Board and to the availability of state or federal funds for services to the victims of domestic violence, the Department is authorized to: 1. Receive state and federal funds for services to the victims of domestic violence; 2. Disperse funds through matching grants to local, public or private nonprofit agencies to provide service programs for the victims of domestic violence; and 3. Develop and implement grant mechanisms for funding such local services. 1980, c. 597, § 63.1-318; 2002, c. 747.
