In addition to the remedies provided by §§ 55.1-1228 and 55.1-1311, a landlord may evict a tenant only for violation of the applicable building and housing code caused by a lack of reasonable care by the tenant, a member of the tenant's household, or a guest or invitee of the tenant. 1992, c. 709, § 55-248.50:1; 2019, c. 712; 2024, cc. 726, 762.
