Except as provided in § 53.1-114, each political subdivision participating in a jail or jail farm shall bear the cost of transporting its prisoners to and from the jail or jail farm. Code 1950, § 53-206.10; 1956, c. 681; 1968, c. 525; 1982, c. 636.
