As used in this chapter, unless the context requires a different meaning: "Nuisance birds" means blackbirds, red-winged blackbirds, grackles, cowbirds, pigeons, and starlings, or any other species so declared by regulations of the Board when causing or about to cause economic losses in the Commonwealth; becoming detrimental to the public health and welfare; defacing or defiling public or private property or otherwise creating a public nuisance. "Person" means the term as defined in § 1-230. The term also means any society. 1968, c. 64, § 3.1-1012; 2008, c. 860.
