A. Unless specifically exempted by law, VITA shall be responsible for the development, operation, and management of information technology for every executive branch agency, pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. B. The CIO shall have the following powers and duties concerning the development, operation, and management of information technology: 1. Manage, coordinate, and provide the information technology used by executive branch agencies; 2. Acquire, lease, or construct such land, facilities, and equipment as necessary to deliver comprehensive information technology services, and to maintain such land, facilities, and equipment owned or leased; and 3.
