Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection A of § 15.2-2000, counties may install and maintain suitable lights on public rights-of-way in such counties, and pay the costs of such installation and maintenance. Code 1950, § 15-778; 1952, c. 125; 1962, c. 623, § 15.1-380; 1997, c. 587.
