§ 1061. Journals of the General Assembly After the close of the session of the General Assembly, the Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House of Representatives shall each be entitled for each day for services rendered to one-fifth of the weekly salary to which each respectively shall be entitled under the provisions of section 1053 of this title and the necessary expenses in preparing to be printed and bound with an adequate appendix and index the journals of their respective houses. They may each procure necessary competent assistance in the preparation thereof at the expense of the State, and, in the case of the Secretary of the Senate, with the approval of the Rules Committee of the Senate and, in the case of the Clerk of the House, with the approval of the Rules Committee of the House of Representatives.
