§ 34. Public education on propane tank safety
The General Assembly finds that there is a need for a coordinated public safety message
on the normal storage and handling of propane tanks and fuel oil tanks, and for the
recovery of propane tanks and fuel oil tanks that are displaced by a natural disaster,
such as flooding. The Department of Public Service, the Division of Fire Safety, and
the Agency of Natural Resources shall cooperate with relevant municipal, professional,
and industry organizations to develop a variety of educational materials for distribution
to the public to provide information on any special treatment of propane tanks that
might be required in the event of a natural disaster, such as flooding.
