§ 1731. Policy and purpose The General Assembly recognizes the need to provide means by which physician assistants may practice medicine in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals to provide increased efficiency and to ensure that high-quality medical services are available to all Vermonters at reasonable cost. The General Assembly recognizes that physician assistants, with their education, training, and experience in the field of medicine, are well suited to provide these services to Vermonters.
