§ 604. Early renewal (a) The holder of an operator’s license or privilege card issued under the provisions of this subchapter may renew the operator’s license or privilege card at any time prior to the expiration of the operator’s license or privilege card. If one or more years remain before the expiration of the operator’s license or privilege card, the Commissioner shall reduce the cost of the renewed operator’s license or privilege card by an amount that is proportionate to the number of years rounded down to the next whole year remaining before the expiration of the operator’s license or privilege card. (b) All application and documentation requirements for the renewal of an operator’s license or privilege card shall apply to the early renewal of an operator’s license or privilege card.
