§ 1367. Benefits not subject to assignment or trustee process
Benefits that are due or may become due under this chapter shall not be assignable
before payment, but this provision shall not affect the survival thereof; and when
awarded, adjudged, or paid, shall be exempt from all claims of creditors, and from
levy, execution, attachment, and trustee process or other remedy now or hereafter
provided for recovery or collection of debt. This exemption may not be waived.
