§ 17. Contracts; labor preference A person, firm, or corporation awarded any contract for the construction, reconstruction, improvement, and repair of a highway under the jurisdiction of the Agency shall give preference to Vermont labor and to trucks owned in Vermont and operated by residents of Vermont on all contracts of construction, reconstruction, improvement, and repair, provided this action is not contrary to federal rules and regulations.
