§ 4812. Substance Misuse Prevention Special Fund
(a) The Substance Misuse Prevention Special Fund is established and managed by the Vermont
Department of Health in accordance with 32 V.S.A. chapter 7, subchapter 5.
(b) Thirty percent of the revenues raised by the cannabis excise tax imposed pursuant
to 32 V.S.A. § 7902, not to exceed $10,000,000.00 per fiscal year, shall be deposited into this fund
for substance misuse prevention costs.
(c) Any unencumbered and unexpended spending authority reverted in accordance with 32 V.S.A. § 703 may be immediately re-established the following fiscal year in accordance with 32 V.S.A. § 511.
(d) Notwithstanding any provision of 32 V.S.A. chapter 7, subchapter 5 to the contrary, all interest earned by this fund shall be retained
by this fund.
