§ 1844. Publication in newspapers and on State websites; ballots
(a)(1) The Secretary of State shall, between September 25 and October 1 in any year in which
a vote on ratification of an article of amendment is taken, prepare copies of the
proposal of amendment and forward them, with a summary of proposed changes, for publication
in at least two newspapers having general circulation in the State, as determined
by the Secretary of State.
(2) The proposal shall be so published once each week for three successive weeks in each
of the papers at the expense of the State and on the websites of the General Assembly
and the Office of the Secretary of State.
(b) The Secretary of State shall cause ballots to be prepared for a vote by the voters
of the State upon the proposal of amendment.
