§ 764. Secretary of State; recording certificates
(a) To ensure that documentary evidence relating to the creation of union school districts
can be found in one location, the Secretary of Education shall forward to the Secretary
of State copies of the certifications designating the existence of each new union
school district created pursuant to the State Board’s “Final Report of Decisions and
Order on Statewide School District Merger Decisions Pursuant to [2015 Acts and Resolves
No.] 46, Sections 8(b) and 10” dated November 28, 2018 (the Order).
(b) The Secretary of State shall record the certifications and all subsequent amendments
and addenda to the certifications.
(c) The Secretary of State shall file a certified copy of the recorded certification and
any amendments or addenda with the elected clerk of each union school district created
by the Order.
