Assessment of an ungovernable or runaway child for services

(1) If a juvenile court finds that a child is ungovernable or a runaway, or that the family is in crisis,
the juvenile court may order the division to conduct an assessment to determine whether
it would be appropriate for the division to provide prevention and early intervention youth
services, as described in Section 80-5-401, to the child.
(2) If the division determines that provision of prevention and early intervention youth services is
appropriate under Subsection (1), the division shall provide the services to the ungovernable or
runaway child.
