Removing or damaging a road sign

(1) Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-8-101 apply to this section. (2) An actor commits removing or damaging a road sign if the actor intentionally or knowingly removes or damages: (a) a milepost, milestone, or guidepost erected on a highway; or (b) an inscription on a milepost, milestone, or guidepost. (3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a class B misdemeanor.
