Statewide electric vehicle charging network plan -- Report

(1)
(a) The department, in consultation with relevant entities in the private sector, shall develop a
statewide electric vehicle charging network plan.
(b) To develop the statewide electric vehicle charging network plan, the department shall consult
with political subdivisions and other relevant state agencies, divisions, and entities, including:
(i) the Department of Environmental Quality created in Section 19-1-104;
(ii) the Division of Facilities Construction and Management created in Section 63A-5b-301;
(iii) the Office of Energy Development created in Section 79-6-401; and
(iv) the Department of Natural Resources created in Section 79-2-201.
(2) The statewide electric vehicle charging network plan shall provide implementation strategies to
ensure that electric vehicle charging stations are available:
(a) at strategic locations as determined by the department;
(b) at incremental distances no greater than every 50 miles along the state's interstate highway
system by December 31, 2025; and
(c) along other major highways within the state as the department finds appropriate.
