Utah Code § 70A-12a-102

Definitions

(1) In this chapter:
(a) "Adjustment date" means July 1, 2025, or the date that is one year after May 6, 2026,
whichever is later.
(b) "Article 12" means Chapter 12, Uniform Commercial Code - Controllable Electronic Records.
(c) "Article 12 property" means a controllable account, controllable electronic record, or
controllable payment intangible.
(2) The following definitions in other chapters of this title apply to this chapter:
(a) "Controllable account," Section 70A-9a-102.
(b) "Controllable electronic record," Section 70A-12-102.
(c) "Controllable payment intangible," Section 70A-9a-102.
(d) "Electronic money," Section 70A-9a-102.
(e) "Financing statement," Section 70A-9a-102.
(3) Chapter 1a, Uniform Commercial Code - General Provisions, contains general definitions and
principles of construction and interpretation applicable throughout this chapter.
