(1) (a) The division shall collect a $1 surcharge from each applicant for an initial license, a renewal of a license, or a reinstatement of a license. (b) The surcharge described in Subsection (1)(a) is in addition to other fees this chapter or the division authorizes in accordance with Section 63J-1-504. (2) (a) The division shall deposit the surcharge into the General Fund as a dedicated credit. (b) The division shall use the dedicated credits to provide a licensee with access to an internet- based library of national, state, and local building codes and standards.
