On or after September 1, 2026, a person that holds a valid license under Title 53, Chapter 9, Private Investigator Regulation Act: (1) is subject to the following: (a) if the license the person holds on September 1, 2026, is an agency license under Title 53, Chapter 9, Private Investigator Regulation Act: (i) if the person is an entity, the person is considered to have a private investigation agency license under this chapter; or (ii) if the person is an individual, the person is considered to have a private investigator agent license under this chapter; (b) if the license the person holds on September 1, 2026, is a registrant license under Title 53, Chapter 9, Private Investigator Regulation Act, the person is considered to have a private investigator registrant license under this chapter; and (c) if the license the person holds on September 1, 2026, is an apprentice license under Title 53, Chapter 9, Private Investigator Regulation Act, the person is considered to have a private investigator apprentice license under this chapter; and (2) is subject to this chapter.
