Utah Code § 53H-4-306.1

Electrification of Transportation Infrastructure Research Center -- Definitions

As used in Sections 53H-4-306.1 through 53H-4-306.6:
(1) "Department of Environmental Quality" means the Department of Environmental Quality
created in Section 19-1-104.
(2) "Department of Transportation" means the Department of Transportation created in Section
72-1-201.

(3) "Governor's Office of Economic Development" means the Governor's Office of Economic
Development created in Section 63N-1a-301.
(4) "Industry advisory board" means the industry advisory board created in accordance with
Section 53H-4-306.4.
(5) "Initiative" means the strategic planning and development initiative to guide the transition to an
electrified and intelligent transportation system in this state.
(6) "Large public transit district" means the same as that term is defined in Section 17B-2a-802.
(7) "Office of Energy Development" means the Office of Energy Development created in Section
79-6-401.
(8) "Project director" means the project director of the research center appointed under Subsection
53H-4-306.2(2)(b).
(9) "Research center" means the ASPIRE Engineering Research Center at Utah State University.
(10) "Steering committee" means the Electrification of Transportation Infrastructure Steering
Committee created in Section 53H-4-306.3.
