(1) A school employee or principal who in good faith reports information under Subsection 53G-8-510(1) or (2) is immune from any liability, civil or criminal, that might otherwise result from the reporting or receipt of the information. (2) A school employee or a principal making a notification or conducting an investigation, in good faith, under the direction of school or law enforcement authorities under this part, is immune from any liability, civil or criminal, that otherwise might result by reason of that action.
